from contact to completion the service was professional and responsive. I asked for a quote and
Richard promptly arrived when he said he would and went straight to work assessing the job
and within an hour or so of leaving we had a quote! All through the process I had updates to
remind me etc. The key thing was that we only had a single option of which way to install but
there would be pipes in the way so he said would build a simple box to lift above the pipes so
no issue.
Once we agreed the work Richard gave me a date and time and was on time – quick coffee and
they cracked on. New dust covers which surprised me as usually old ones 🙂 laid all the way
down stairs as he was conscious of the fact that between his quote and doing the job the house
had new carpets and gloss everywhere!
Just left them to crack on and a few hours later all done with a lifetime guarantee! Even better
was the fact I could do a bank transfer so did not have to go get cash out!
Cleaned up after themselves and TBH if I did not know they had been and a new shiny hatch in
place I would not have known they had been!! Carpets that are a week old clean and all
glossed paintwork remained intact and based on the drilling and cutting that was impressive!!
I now have a fully accessible attic space to store all the stuff from downsizing?!?!?
TBH this is a job I would normally undertake but for the time its saved me to do other jobs its

completed efficiently and with 3 on the job it was finished by lunchtime. As well as increasing
the insulation I wanted a new access ladder with handrail. The raised flooring to accommodate
the extra insulation still meant I had to lean over to reach the handrail. Richard suggested a

Richard visited my home and gave me a written no obligation quote which was thorough and competitive. He had a nice friendly approach was polite and I was happy to proceed. Richard was punctual and arrived when he said he would and quietly completed his work with an additional helper. He supplied a new hatch, 3 section ladder and boarded entire loft area. I was very impressed with Access4Lofts. From my first phone call, the impression I got was that
this was a very well-run, professional company. Richard arrived early for the quotation. Mine
was not a straightforward loft ladder installation as I had to have the hatch moved to a different
location in order to install a ladder. After having a good look at the layout of my hatch/attic,
Richard informed me where he thought the best place for a new hatch would be, and went
through the different types of ladders with me on offer. A quotation was promptly emailed to
me after his visit which was a fair price. On the day of the job, Richard came on time and was
very focused on the work that needed to be done, which was completed by early afternoon.
Sheets were laid down on my landing and stairs, and he cleaned and hoovered the area after
he’d finished his work. I would not hesitate to recommend Access4Lofts and am very happy

The hatch to my loft was in dire need of repair. Richard did a superb job by making and fitting a replacement hatch with a new and secure locking mechanism. He also insulated the area and made it draught proof. Richard showed respect for my property by using dust sheets. On completion he left the area very tidy indeed. We recently had our loft boarded by Richard and we are over the moon with the result. From the initial consultation, Richard was extremely helpful in explaining the process and recommended the most suitable products for our loft. On the day, Richard arrived early and laid dust sheets before commencing the work. He and his colleague went above and beyond, including removing items which had been left in the loft by previous owners, and arranged for these to be collected to ensure that we didn’t have to dispose of the items ourselves.
